    Owning the 2020,2022 and ultra 40 razr i will skip this 50 ultra due to lacklustre os updates,on the Motorola community forums not one agent can give us any idea when the 40ultra will be getting our android 14 updates,as for security updates i have been getting the bimonthly security updates,im in Australia,as the agents have stated on the forum security updates are done per phone,not the whole region, in America others have the latedt security patches others are still on May 2023,this is the same for all regions, as for me this will be my last razr untill Motorola/Lenova release updates in a timely manner...I hope this helps a few ppl decide.

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech День назад

      You can put a case on it, and it should do a pretty good job of protecting the phone. There’s already a screen protector on the inner screen that you shouldn’t put another protector over. The outer screen might be able to have a screen protector on it though.

    I just got the new Moto G Power 5g 2024 and it has the same Synthetic Leather material on the back and I was worried that I wouldnt like it as i never had a phone with that style of back but I love it. Mine is in Midnight Blue which looks basically like Black unless you shine direct light on it then you can see its the darkest shade of blue possible. I love the look and feel of the material and its really grippy i could see using it with no case and just a glass protector on fhe screen but i tend to drop things while being out and about when out of the house so i got a clear case for it. One thing im glad its a darker color because even with clean hands i could see the material getting dirty over time from being handled alot and lighter colors like the lilac or caramel latte would be harder to get dirt off of as it would kinda be like a liquid silicone case when it comes to getting dirty from being handled alot and the lighter colors would "stain" after awhile i think. I love the Blue i like the red color they have with the phones this year and i would love a Teal color or a deep eggplant purple would be beautiful

    @chrissmith2963 2 дня назад

    I've also heard the new hinge allows for position in the screen at multiple angles without it flopping back down, a nice upgrade over the last model. I'm excited for the telephoto lens. An ultra wide lens is nice but I've heard that the regular camera it's a fair bit into the picture. Love that green! 😊

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech День назад

      The model I had is a pre-production unit. It holds position quite well, but it does flop closed once it gets to about 30 degrees or so. The production model should have a slightly stiffer hinge I would think. This happened last year too when I had a pre-release version, where the hinge was quite floppy, and the final version was much better.

      I actually like it too for the grippyness. I can’t say it really feels like leather though. Generally, phones seem to slip out of my hands if not in a case. Unless you have perfectly flat yard with no hard edges, get used to breaking the ground wire on this POS. I used more than 2x the recommended pegs and I still manage to break the loop wire almost every month with the edge trimmer. It is nearly impossible not to. Save your money and go for a more modern design with no boundary wires, I have not looked back. The Moebot just ended up frustrating the hell out of me, it would have literally been easier to just mow my lawn.

    • @gadgetguytech

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech Месяц назад

      @@cverrcv Hi and thanks so much for watching the video and your comment. When you say that the 4K movies are not displayed in full screen, I'm assuming that you mean there are black bars at the top and bottom? This is because movies are made for movie theatre-shaped screens (with a 1:85:1 or 2:35:1 aspect ratio) and not TV screens, which have a less-wide 16:9 aspect ratio. Video that's made for TVs specifically will perfectly fill the screen because they are made with a 16:9 shape, but watching movies made for the cinema will not completely fit on a TV screen. That's why there are black areas that appear on the top and bottom of the movie. This is also called 'letterbox' format. You can 'zoom-in' a movie so it completely fills up the black spaces, but then you loose a bit of the width of the movie on the left and right sides, so TVs normally default to Letterbox format so you don't miss anything. You can change this in your settings so movies fill up the full screen if you prefer. I hope this helps and my apologies if I've misunderstood your comment.

    I have this TV (65") and it's quite simply a game changer. It still looks like any other high end OLED in a dark room but makes it actually watchable through the rest of the day, even with dark scenes. It's pretty much perfection. If you have reflections of any kind on your TV that bother you, the slight hit in perceived contrast is WELL worth the trade off.

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech Месяц назад

      Great comment! Good to hear that you're not perceiving any issues with the contrast. I thought it looked amazing relative to the S95C with no coating, and I'd gladly take the anti-reflective benefits versus a small hit to contrast, but to be honest I didn't notice anything really.

    Yooo absolutely fire video man I only have one question, I’m basically sold on the S95D but I keep hearing people say 2 main things, 1, the “matte screen” is causing a loss of contrast and isn’t a good TV in a dark room “so nighttime use” and 2, people also say that this TV gets really bad temps due to it being a super bright panel and maybe placing the one connect box on the tv itself could cause higher temps instead of something like a TV unit/desk but I’m honestly not to sure there but what are your honest thoughts here man please don’t hold anything back🙏🏼 again super informative video and any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech Месяц назад

      Hey thanks for your awesome compliment! I can't honestly say that I've seen much by way of contrast degradation because of the anti-glare coating. Sure, any coating will have some impact, but it's quite negligible compared to the S95C that I use daily. Temp wise, I asked Samsung how they got the extra brightness, and there's no change to the pixel coating chemistry (nano-crystals) but rather increases in voltage, etc that they feel they can use based on how the S95C performs and their learnings from it. So it prob does get a little hotter but within safe margins. I suppose if anything goes wrong due to heat dissipation, they'll need to replace it under warranty anyway. Still, not a problem you'd want to experience! I didn't notice any unusual heat around the back of the panel, however the One Connect Box was not mounted to the stand. If it was, there's still a gap between it and the panel so I don't think it would be a problem. Thanks for watching!

      You're the only one saying this because everybody else is saying the exact opposite and the black on this TV has not been lifted, they are simply just exactly what they should be... as a matter of fact, all the colours of this TV have veen certified by Pantone and this is including the white and black...

      Thanks for watching! The anti-reflective coating also prevents internal lights / lamps from being reflected, plus reflections of yourself. I have the 77in S95C from last year and I can see myself in it as my sofa is fairly close to it. The panel is also 20% brighter, which is good for any situation. Also, I don't know if I agree that nobody likes the matte screen. What do you think is better, a shiny black mirror when the TV is off or a matte one? Personal preference but I'd prefer a matte one.

    • @MrUpscaleman
      @MrUpscaleman Месяц назад

      @gadgetguytech yes I agree it was hyperbole and some people like the matte screen. It's like having a giant computer monitor as my tv. I've seen many reviews which demonstrate where the blacks suffer from the screen and where colors were similarly diluted. If the tv is going in a room with tons of light and windows it probably makes sense, but that is not my use case so it's a no-go for me.

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech Месяц назад

      @@MrUpscaleman Unlike AR coatings on monitors, etc, this one doesn't have a negative impact on the brightness or the colour, as it is still a Pantone certified screen so very colour accurate, and brighter than last year's model. The new tech means you can now use OLED in a bright room (if that's what you need). For me personally, I have a brighter room but love the OLED look, which means no compromises now vs last year. However, if you don't need it, the 2023 Samsung S95C is a fantastic option and a cheaper price.

    **STAY AWAY***I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with my moebot. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent; they never respond to calls, leaving customers in the dark for weeks on end. What's worse, my product has been broken for five months now, with no resolution in sight. This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. My advice: steer clear and stick to major brands with a proven track record of customer satisfaction.

      Really, it’s the ability to rotate this screen so it’s in portrait mode and then it can be divided into three individual segments. Also, it’s a curve screen which brings the corners closer to you for more immersion if you’re playing games and sitting close to it. Arguably, it’s an acquired taste, and for the diehard gamer.

    Ok, an update question. Now that the new 900d is available with the latest gen panel, should I just wait until there's big sale on it in the future, or just go with the 900c. 65 inch only. Or still s95c 65 inch? Just want a picture that I say WOW every time I turn it on. Thanks!

    • @gadgetguytech
      @gadgetguytech 2 месяца назад

      That's a very good question. I've seen the 2024 900d at the upscaling is vasty better than what you get on the 2023 model. However, this isn't to say that the 2023 model doesn't look good, as it looks very good, but there is a significant improvement in making low-quality content look much better on an 8K panel, as well as smoothing out fast-travelling objects in sport, such as golf balls, hockey pucks, etc. Overall, waiting for the 2024 model just depends on how important these things are to you (and your budget). At the top end of picture quality, there really isn't a whole lot of difference between models but for the people who want the best possible picture, even the little things matter. If it were me, I'd go for the 2024 because the jump is significant enough, and I am a screen quality nut. Otherwise, the 2023 is absolutely decent in just about every way.
